Ali Raza, a rising star in Pakistan’s entertainment industry, recently made an interesting revelation that has left fans and media questioning its validity. During the press junket for his latest drama “Iqtidar”, Ali claimed that the prestigious Indian production house, Yash Raj Films (YRF), had approached him for an audition. However, his story raised eyebrows due to an important discrepancy.
Ali Raza, known for his roles in “Mohabbat Gumshuda Meri”, “Noor Jahan”, and “Duniyapur”, shared that YRF reached out to him via Instagram, requesting him to audition for a scene featuring Ranbir Kapoor from “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil”. He proudly stated that after sending in his audition, the production house showed interest and asked him to fly to Kolkata for further discussions. At this point, Ali clarified that he was from Lahore and a Pakistani citizen, which seemingly led to the talks breaking down. According to him, YRF mentioned they would keep him in mind for any future projects filmed outside India.
However, this tale has a significant twist — “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” wasn’t produced by Yash Raj Films, but by Dharma Productions, Karan Johar’s banner. This slip has sparked speculation about whether Ali Raza’s claim was accurate or simply a misunderstanding. Did he genuinely get an offer for a film, or was it a mix-up of names?
