Ali Raza, one of the most promising actors in the Pakistani drama industry, had a stellar 2024 with three back-to-back hits: Noor Jahan, Duniyapur, and Iqtidar. His performances have been highly appreciated, and his on-screen chemistry with co-star Anmol Baloch in Iqtidar has captivated audiences. However, his journey to becoming a lead actor was not without its challenges.
In a recent interview with Something Haute, Ali Raza revealed that transitioning from a supporting actor to a lead role in the Pakistani drama industry requires making tough decisions. He shared that he turned down 16 scripts before accepting his role in Iqtidar, as he no longer wanted to work as a second lead.
“Supporting actors often struggle to become lead actors because they don’t know how to say no to projects,” Ali explained.
He added that he has now established clear standards for the roles he chooses. Ali is determined to only accept lead roles in prime-time slots, particularly the coveted 8 p.m. time slot. Additionally, he expressed a preference for working with leading ladies who already have strong fan followings.
Ali Raza’s approach appears to be paying off, as his career continues to gain momentum. His dedication to prioritizing quality over quantity has not only set him apart but also inspired other actors to take charge of their career trajectories.
