Junaid Jamshed, a name etched in the hearts of millions, left an indelible mark on Pakistan’s entertainment and spiritual landscape. Initially rising to fame as a pop music sensation, he later renounced music to become a prominent Naat Khuwan and Islamic preacher.
Alongside his public roles, he was also a successful businessman. Tragically, Junaid Jamshed’s life was cut short in a plane crash in December 2016, leaving behind his widow, three sons, and a daughter.
Recently, Junaid Jamshed’s son, Babur Junaid, appeared on a podcast and shared insights into his father’s life, particularly addressing the topic of his multiple marriages.
Babur revealed:
“To my knowledge, he had two other wives apart from my mother. One of them passed away alongside him in the plane crash. He didn’t have children with his other wives; we are just four siblings.”
Reflecting on a memorable conversation with his father, Babur recounted:
“Once, my father asked me, ‘People say I’ve been married multiple times, but have you ever seen me being unjust to you or your mother?’
I replied:
‘No Baba, you’ve always fulfilled your responsibilities and given us so much love.’ Hearing that gave him a sense of satisfaction.”
