Farhan Saeed, a celebrated Pakistani singer and actor, recently addressed the ban on Pakistani dramas in India. Known for hits like Udaari, Suno Chanda, and Mere Humsafar, Farhan is currently being praised for his role in Shirin Farhad on Hum TV.

During an interview with Fuchsia Magazine, Farhan shared his honest thoughts on how the Indian ban has impacted the industry.

“We didn’t start making dramas for Indian audiences. We’ve been doing this since the PTV era. If they stop watching now, it’s their loss — not ours,” Farhan stated.

He further explained that while audience size matters, content is what truly wins hearts.

“They watched our dramas because they were good. They don’t watch our films because maybe they’re not. At the end of the day, good content always finds its audience.”

Kinza Hashmi Shares Her Perspective

Kinza Hashmi, also part of Shirin Farhad, added to Farhan’s viewpoint. She reminded fans that Pakistani dramas thrived well before Indian audiences tuned in.

“The Indian audience joined us only a few years ago. We’ve always had our own people to appreciate our work.”
