Yasir Hussain wishes that Pakistan start making films on their hidden stories instead of other countries picking up them.

Taking to Instagram after Netflix confirmed their collaboration with Indian director Sanjay Leela Bhansali to make a web series on Lahore’s Heeramandi, Yasir coined that Pakistan should start narrating their own stories.

“It’s in Lahore but Indians are making a movie on it. Then we say, they showed everything wrong. Don’t know, when would we start talking about our stories, narrating our stories,” he wrote.

While replying to Yasir’s Instagram story, Ahmed Ali Butt bantered with a prediction that Yasir will write a film on India’s Chandni Chowk.

Bhansali’s Heeramandi is said to highlight the hidden culture of the red light area in Lahore. According to Indian reports, the web series is set to feature some big names from Bollywood such as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, and Madhuri Dixit-Nene.
