Khalil ur Rehman Qamar is facing strong backlash after a viral outburst targeting cricketer Mohammad Rizwan. The screenwriter made offensive remarks on ARY Digital’s PSL talk show Har Lamha Purjosh.
The episode featured ex-cricketers Basit Ali and Kamran Akmal alongside host Waseem Badami. However, Khalil’s rant stole the spotlight.
Khalil criticized Multan Sultans’ win over Lahore Qalandars. He called the win a “fluke” and said Rizwan was unfit to lead.
When asked to explain, Khalil gave confusing references. He mixed up Rizwan’s Champions Trophy stats with a match against New Zealand.
His remarks escalated when he used the word “Lanat” for Rizwan on live TV. The term was censored during the broadcast.
Badami and the other guests tried to calm him down. They reminded him his comments were unfair and harsh.
Khalil also claimed to be a cricketer himself, which was met with laughter from the audience.
He even used a rude tone toward Badami, lacking basic media etiquette.
Social media users applauded Badami for staying calm. Many condemned Khalil’s behavior and demanded an apology.
So far, Khalil ur Rehman has not responded to the criticism.
