Sheheryar Munawar thinks online bullying and harassment should be declared crimes in Pakistan and the responsibles must be held accountable for it.

Speaking in Vasay Chaudhry’s show ‘Ghabrana Mana Hai’, Munawar stressed how people on social media can easily bully or harass anyone without knowing its after-effects.

“I think social media is the place where people come and they feel that they’re hidden behind a screen, so they can say absolutely anything. It’s honestly terrible because you don’t know the effect your words have on the other person,” he said.

“We hear a lot about things getting ban like PUBG due to several complaints but we haven’t labeled online bullying and harassment crimes, they should be,” the actor stressed.

Sheheryar heaped praise on the Pakistani governments cyberbullying department after they helped him recover his social media account and also asked them to take permanent action against them.

“In Pakistan, institutions are working towards creating awareness on cyberbullying and harassment but we haven’t considered them as crimes,” he highlighted.
