Veteran Pakistani host and actress Nadia Khan is no stranger to bold opinions. From politics to pop culture, she has always spoken her mind. Currently, she is hosting two shows: Rise and Shine on 365 News and Kya Drama Hai, where her reviews often stir debate.

Backlash Over Hania Aamir Remarks

Recently, Nadia received criticism for what fans called a “U-turn” regarding actress Hania Aamir and her Punjabi-Bollywood debut in Sardaar Ji 3. Initially, Nadia criticized Hania for pursuing Indian PR, claiming it would be fruitless.

She said:

“I still stand by my opinion that Pakistani artists should not work in India. Why work where you are not respected?”

Diljit Dosanjh’s Gesture Changed Her View

However, her opinion softened after learning that Diljit Dosanjh did not replace Hania Aamir in the film, despite backlash and political pressure.

Nadia explained:

“We saw Indian platforms remove Mahira Khan and Mawra Hocane from content. Fawad Khan’s film was shelved. But Diljit didn’t remove Hania and the film is releasing globally, except in India. That won my heart.”

Respect Where It’s Due

Nadia emphasized that her appreciation lies not in changing her stance toward India, but in acknowledging Diljit’s integrity.

“We should welcome Diljit to Pakistan. He stood by a Pakistani artist. That deserves respect.”
