Veteran anchor, actor, and politician Tariq Aziz passed away at 85 in Lahore on Wednesday. Reportedly, Aziz was admitted to a private hospital late Tuesday after feeling critically ill.
Soon after the news came out, people mourned the demise by taking up to social media. Fans paid tribute to one of the greatest Tv presenters Pakistan has ever produced.
Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed disappointment on the loss of the ‘pioneer’ of Tv industry. “Saddened to learn of the passing of Tariq Aziz, an icon in his time and a pioneer of our TV game shows. My condolences and prayers go to his family,” he wrote.

President Arif Alvi also mourned the loss of the renowned anchor. The President offered condolence to the family of Tariq Aziz and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.

Humayun Saeed, Ali Zafar, Ayesha Omar, Ayeza Khan, Zeba Bakhtiar, and Neelum Munir Khan were also among the people who expressed grief on the loss of Aziz.
