Veteran Pakistani actress Saba Faisal has shared that she declined an Indian advertisement offer just weeks before the Pahalgam terror attack that escalated tensions between India and Pakistan.

In a recent appearance on Nida Yasir’s morning show, Saba Faisal explained that she was initially interested in the offer. However, when the Indian team asked her to audition, she refused.

Saba stated:

“I’m a senior actress and didn’t have time for it. I felt disrespected being asked for an audition at this stage in my career.”

Though she didn’t foresee any political implications at the time, Saba now believes it was the right decision in hindsight, especially considering the Kashmir tensions that followed.

She emphasized the importance of national solidarity in sensitive times:

“Just like Indian celebrities support their government, we should support ours. We must stand with Pakistan when baseless accusations are thrown at us.”

Saba also mentioned the surprised reaction of the Indian director’s assistant, who was reportedly shocked by her firm refusal.

Her remarks come as cross-border cultural exchanges face renewed scrutiny amid rising regional instability. Fans online have praised her for prioritizing professional dignity and national loyalty.
