Veteran actor Sohail Ahmed believes that Pakistani artists earn enough according to population and local market value.

Speaking to a session ‘Sohail Ahmed Se Mulaqat’ during the ongoing 13th Aalmi Urdu Conference, Ahmed said Indian artists’ earnings can’t be compared with Pakistani artists as their market value is much higher.

“I don’t care how much Shahrukh Khan or Salman Khan earn in a day or how much money Kapil Sharma makes by doing a single episode as I know their population and market value is much higher than us,” he said.

“I believe that I am more financially stable and satisfied than these Indian artists and Alhumdulillah, I earn a lot according to our population and market,” he shared.

Meanwhile, Ahmed showed concerns over Pakistani artists being ignored by the government.

“But, I feel pain when I hear or read somewhere about our artists suffering from financial strains. It is a sign of disrespect for all of us when news about our artists’ financial condition goes internationally,” he maintained.

Ahmed suggested the government to frame a combined policy for honoring, respecting and supporting the artists. “I believe the government should make a policy to respect our heroes. We should help our artists before they go out to the world for help,” he concluded.
