Karachi Kings’ owner Salman Iqbal brushed aside unnecessary criticism on Sharjeel Khan’s return as he thinks he wouldn’t be the first player to come back after a ban.

While talking to reporters via video conference, Iqbal said that Sharjeel is a match-winner and completely deserves a chance to make a comeback in the national team.

“I think he wouldn’t be the first player to play international cricket once again after completing his punishment. I think he can win you matches anytime that’s why he is dangerous and demanding,” he said.

Meanwhile, Kings’ owner emphasized on Sharjeel working on his fitness. “The only thing he can improve is his fitness otherwise he is a good player and deserves a second chance,” he maintained.

It must be noted that former cricketers criticized Khan’s return in competitive cricket. They aked PCB to legislate on the match-fixing issue and also suggested life bans on players who corrupt the game.
