Sunita Masih – a Christian Pakistani girl was allegedly being abducted & gang-raped by Muslim men which provoked outrage once again towards this sensitive issue.
Many celebrities including Faisal Qureshi, Adnan Siddiqui, Armeena Khan, Alizeh Shah, and Shafaat Ali raised voice for justice to her.
But, a few days after the news was shared by a Pakistani Christian named Rahat Austin, it has been disclosed that the case was totally based on misleading information and the purpose was to defame Pakistan.
Lawyer and social activist Jibran Nasir raised his voice on this issue and put weight on a report claiming that Austin’s account was involved in spreading fake information against Muslims.
A public interest appeal to all well meaning citizens. While atrocities with Christian & Hindu girls is a fact there are miscreants out there who exploit issues for funding fraud purposes & hurt the cause/case of so many. Pls do ur best to verify news before sharing #SunitaMasih https://t.co/vhSM2mvAyz

Nasir further urged people to report Rahat Austin named Twitter account for spreading misleading information.
Last year, Austin shared pictures of burnt corpses of 3 Hindu children who died in a fire in Ghotki district, insinuating they were victims of an arson attack by Muslims. The news was also false and was still widely shared in Indian Media https://t.co/FwRdFeOCm9
