Pakistani TV drama actor Affan Waheed wishes to work in a film like Tamasha in Bollywood starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead. The actor is more interested to make a name in Pakistani cinema through his acting rather than dancing or just romancing.
With a boom in Pakistani cinema, many TV actors made their way to movies. They proved themselves well on big screen and made name not only famous but successful all around. Talking to Behtareen.pk about stepping into the silver screen, Affan Waheed told that it is the hype for every actor. “I want to do something like Tamasha, where I get to perform and not just dance around or romance or stuff like that.”
With that, the actor also doesn’t want to compromise his credibility as a tv actor. “I manage to garner good name for myself in dramas. I don’t want to hurt that, or jeopardize that by being in a rush and choosing a wrong movie and taking a wrong step,” he told.
The Qurban lead actor is coming back with a new serial titled Baydardi on ARY Digital. It highlights the issue of HIV AIDS and stars Aiman Khan opposite him for the first time.
Talking about his role as Shafay in the drama, he said, “Shafay is a humble, educated, and a happy-go-lucky guy character.”
He called it an amazing experience to work with Aiman Khan for the first time. “Aiman is blizzard to work with, she is very kind, down to earth and most importantly, she is very professional,” he told.
Affan believes that dramas and celebrities have greater reach and influence on society and they should play their part for the betterment of people and society. “All those associated with industry have huge responsibility on their shoulders to mend their ways for better society,” he urged.
Baydardi airs on ARY Digital on every Monday at 08:00pm.
