Punjab Nahi Jaungi, the latest offering by the makers of Pakistan’s biggest blockbuster ever Jawani Phir Nahi Ani, is set to hit cinemas on this Eid Ul Adha. To show their to the makers of the film, almost all renowned names of Pakistani cinema industry including Jami, Nabeel Qureshi, Fizza Ali Meerza, Fahad Mustafa, Yasir Nawaz, Bilal Ashraf, Gohar Rasheed, Feroze Khan, Imran Kazmi, and others gathered in Karachi last night at trailer launch.

The film is a romantic-drama directed by the award-winning director, Nadeem Baig and produced by Salman Iqbal, Shehzad Nasib, Humayun Saeed and Jerjees Seja. Written by the legendary playwright Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, of Sadqay Tumhare and Pyarey Afzal fame, Punjab Nahi Jaungi boasts an A-list ensemble cast including Humayun Saeed, Mehwish Hayat, Ahmad Ali Butt, Urwa Hocane, Azfar Rehman, Sohail Ahmed, Safina Behroz, Behroz Subzwari, Saba Hamid, Waseem Abbas and Naveed Shehzad.

“My character is about a guy who believes he is superior of all and when he likes a girl, he thinks there is no issue for him,” told Humayun Saeed about his character in Punjab Nahi Jaungi. Mehwish Hayat is a city girl who studied in London and came back to Karachi. “She is modern but with that, she really keeps her family values very close to her,” revealed Hayat.

Sheeraz Uppal, Sahir Ali Bagga, Shani Arshad and Ahmad Ali Butt have done one song each for the movie while Uppal has also composed overall music.

“Punjab Nahi Jaungi is the first film to release under the banner of ARY Films this year and we are proud to be providing quality entertainment to our viewers consistently. We hope to continue the same trend,” shared Salman Iqbal, Founder and President of ARY Digital Network.
