Bilal Ali is back with a new solo single, titled Har Qadam, and it might just be the feel-good song of the summer. After several chart-topping hits with Kashmir the band and dabbling into solo projects, this song is a heartfelt message about the unpredictability of life and the realization that it’s okay to let go of your plans and let life take its course. The lyrics, composed by Bilal Ali himself, are a touching reflection on the challenges we face and how we must learn to adapt to the twists and turns that come our way.
Har Qadam is a powerful track that captures the essence of Bilal’s journey as an artist. “The song is about planning every step for yourself and then realising life will always find its own way. It’s about realising that that’s okay,” says Bilal. “Despite counting the steps I had to take to reach where I needed to, I felt my feet kept falling somewhere else with time running out. The sand in the hour glass ran out before I reached my destination. [It was] as if the Tetris game I had been playing kept being filled with the wrong pieces although I was selecting all the right ones. That’s how I felt when I wrote the song,” he added.
“The first part of Har Qadam talks about that feeling, the rest acknowledges that the clock expires,” he shared, with the hope that listeners will be inspired by the song and find comfort in knowing that life will always find its way.

The track was composed by Bilal Ali and Zahid Qureshi and mixed by Adeel Tahir. The mastering of the song was done by Tom Waltz, who has worked with some of the biggest names in the music industry. Ali has previously dabbled into solo music with his tracks Nazaray, 6 Mahine, and Saath.
