Since when Shahid Afridi has announced retirement from ODIs, he is giving more time to his charity work across Pakistan. He has been funding handsome amount to different philanthropists and non-governmental working in health, education, and other related sectors. This time, he has gone international and made efforts to bring some Pakistani nationals back home from the custody of Dubai police.

“I am very thankful to the Dubai Police Department, who have been very compassionate and graceful to initiate the release of Pakistani prisoners and to give them a chance to go back to their home country and to rebuild their life afresh,” he wrote on his Facebook.

“I feel blessed and humbled to be able to accomplish this through SAF,” he added.

The star player also appreciated Dubai police department and officials for showing curtesy. “Without the large heartedness and generous assistance of The Dubai Police Department, it would not be possible to provide a helping hand and to make a difference in the lives of so many people and to enable them to make a new start with their families,” he wrote. “Thanking you for generosity and cooperation,” his note added.
