Sindh and federal government representatives went to meet ailing comedian Umer Sharif at a local hospital in Karachi and assured taking care of his treatment.
Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Fawad Chaudhry and Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan, Shahbaz Gill met Umer and his family on Saturday. During their meet-up, the two government officials assured full financial and documentation support to the family.
On the other hand, Adviser to Chief Minister Sindh of Sindh on Law, Murtaza Wahab also met the ailing comedian in a separate entity and ensured facilitation to him and his family.
“Umer Sharif is a precious asset of the nation. The government of Sindh will extend every kind of support in his cancer treatment,” he said in a statement.
It must be noted here that Umer is admitted into a local hospital for cancer treatment. In a video message earlier, the legendary comedian appealed to PM Khan to arrange his travel abroad for treatment.
