Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has said that he will not work with Geo Network ever again after the media group suspended his contract and asked him to record an apology for abusing Marvi Sirmed, a feminist activist during a live Tv show.
Khalil replied to a statement made by Geo Entertainment and 7th Sky Entertainment after ‘Mere Pas Tum Ho’ writer got trapped into controversy for speaking against ‘Aurat March’, slogan ‘Mera Jism Meri Marzi’ and abusing a woman on a Tv show.
He announced to cancel his contract with the media group and assured people to not working with them in the future. “I immediately announce the cancellation of this contract with GEO and assure to my people that I will not work with this institution for my life to come,” he wrote.
Remember, GEO Entertainment and 7th Sky Entertainment had signed celebrated writer for two years according to which Khalil was supposed to write four Drama serial and a film. Following Khalil’s controversy, the institution suspended his contract and asked him to apologize.
