Ali Abbas and Rabab Hashmi responded to criticism they faced for a viral slap scene from their drama serial ‘Angna’.
In a recent interview with Fuchsia Magazine, Ali and Rabab said the story of their drama has open lesson for its viewers.
“We are in no way supporting abusive marriages,” they said. “We’re not saying you should accept abuse. We aren’t glorifying it, we’re telling the audience that if this happens in your life, there will be many negative consequences. You can see, they are all tormented. None of them are happy,” they clarified.
It must be noted here that Angna actors and writes suffered immense criticism for showing abusive relationship influenced by mother-in-law.
