The award winning tv actress Yumna Zaidi praises efforts pouring in to strengthen Pakistan’s film industry however she doesn’t have any plans to make a debut on the big screen at this point in time.

Yumna highly rated recent Pakistani films while talking to behtareen.pk on the sidelines of a media interaction for her ongoing project ‘Pyar Ke Sadqay’. She said Pakistan’s film industry is growing at a fast pace which is a good sign for the entire fraternity.

“There is a phenomenal change in our film industry. It is growing rapidly and we have seen good performances at the big screen in recent times,” she said. “As far as I am concerned, the big screen doesn’t excite me for now. Maybe, I am waiting for a special script because I am too selective in fact while choosing a drama so, for film, I would love to do something very attractive,” she added.

Yumna, who is playing as ‘Mahjabeen’ in her ongoing drama ‘Pyar Ke Sadqay’ on Hum Tv, talked about her experience of switching quickly from an intense role in Ishq Zahe Naseeb and Inkaar to a romantic and soft mood character.

“After Inkaar and Ishq Zahe Naseeb, I was looking for something different and innovative. Being an actor, you want some change, the script of ‘Pyar Ke Sadqay’ offered me a role on a lighter note so I did it. So far, it is good working with Bilal Abbas and other co-actors as our shoot for this drama is yet to complete. I hope our hard work will pay off for us,” Yumna shared the reason behind opting for Pyar Ke Sadqay.

To a query about whether ‘Real life is different from the reel-life’, Yumna said that none of her characters has any influence in her real life. “To be honest, I just look at different characters as an actor. They don’t have any role in real life for sure. Being a passionate actress, I love variations in acting but in real life, I am completely a different person,” she explained.
