In an incident that has sent shockwaves through Pakistan’s social and entertainment circles, prominent human rights activist and lawyer Jibran Nasir was forcibly abducted by unidentified men in Karachi. The incident took place late Thursday night when Jibran and his wife, actor Mansha Pasha, were returning home after dinner. The abduction case has sparked widespread concern, leading several celebrities from the entertainment industry to raise their voices and demand Jibran’s immediate release.
In a video statement shared online, Mansha narrated the harrowing incident. She described how their vehicle was intercepted by another car, and around 15 men, armed with pistols, surrounded them. Without any explanation, the men forcibly took Jibran and left. She urged the public to pray for his safe recovery and return, and to speak up regarding this matter.

News of Jibran Nasir’s abduction quickly spread throughout the country, causing a wave of concern and anger among his supporters and fellow activists. Numerous celebrities from the entertainment industry also expressed their solidarity with Jibran and demanded his immediate release. Many celebrities like Adnan Malik, Hania Aamir, Kinza Hashmi, and Nimra Bucha, shared Mansha’s video on their Instagram stories to express their support for the couple.
Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy took to her Instagram story to comment on the matter, saying “There is no one left…they have silenced everyone.”
