Cricketer Mohammad Hurraira recently acknowledged his uncle and fellow cricketer Shoaib Malik as a key motivator in his career. With Test selection on the horizon, Hurraira viewed it as an opportunity to fulfill his dreams of representing Pakistan for an extended period.

“My uncle Shoaib Malik has always been a source of motivation for me. Whenever I meet him I think of the way he has represented Pakistan so consistently, and I aim to do the same,” he said.

Hurraira also expressed his excitement at the prospect of learning from Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam. Describing a detailed discussion he had with Babar, Hurraira expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to glean valuable insights from one of the most talented cricketers in the country.

“I got to learn from Babar bhai and I had a detailed discussion with him as well. I feel blessed to learn from him and I hope that from this tour and afterwards I’ll get to learn a lot from him,” he said.

Hurraira was also asked about other players he looks up to and admires, and he shared how he focuses on the plus points of all cricketers, but ended up naming Babar Azam, Virat Kohli, and Rahul Sharma amongst others.

“It is everyone’s dream to represent Pakistan at the highest level so I am very excited. I spoke to my family and they all were very happy. It is all because of the prayers of my parents. This is just a beginning. I want to play for Pakistan for a long time,” he added.
