After importing actors and singers from other parts of the world, we have now successfully started calling intentional comedians to Pakistan. The first of its kind event, Comedy Masala International held in February this year and now, they are coming back with second edition with more diverse line up. The show will be held from 27th to 29th of this month in Karachi.
Comedy Masala International 2 will hold four shows over three nights featuring two internationally famed comedians including Alonzo Bodden and Eli Nicolas.
Bodden was the season three winner of NBC TV show ‘Last Comic Standing. He is a veteran who has been invited on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, The Keenen Ivory Wayans, Scary Movie 4 and NBC. Bodden will be performing an extended headline set in the show.
Another international artist, Eli Nicolas from California will open the show for Bodden. Nicolas, who has performed at various clubs including Laugh Factory, The Comedy Store and The Improv, is known as the rising star in comedy circuit.
Umar Rana, a Pakistani comedian and founder of Comedy Masala, will be hosting all four shows of Comedy Masala International 2. He is also planning to bring more comedians to the country with at least four more editions of the show this year.
