In a historic event, Pakistan women’s cricket team wins big against India for the first time in six years. In today’s T20 Women’s Asia Cup 2022 match at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Pakistan women’s team won by 13 runs, making it a proud moment for the whole nation, especially women and women athletes.

Nida Dar played splendidly with a dominant bowling performance, gained two crucial wickets in her four overs, and conceded just 23 runs. Her batting was just as sensational, where the right-handed batter scored 56, which is now the highest-ever individual score by any Pakistani woman batter against India. Her innings recorded five boundaries and a six.

Similarly, captain Bismah Maroof backed Nida and contributed 32 including two boundaries as Pakistan scored 137/6 in 20 overs, and they both scored 76 runs together after Pakistan were 3-33.

From the rest of the team, Nashra Sandhu bagged three wickets while Sadia Iqbal took two wickets. Aiman Anwar and Tuba Hassan shared a wicket apiece.

Twitter has been ablaze with congratulatory and encouraging messages for the team. Many male players congratulated the women’s team and shared words of appreciation.

Pakistan women’s team will be playing their next match against the UAE on Sunday. A day earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced Pakistan’s first-ever franchise cricket league for women cricketers, which will run alongside the HBL Pakistan Super League 8 at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in March 2023.
