Maxwell opts out of historic Pakistan tour due to his wedding

Australia’s hard-hitting batter Glenn Maxwell will not come to Pakistan for a historic tour due to his wedding in late March.

According to Australian reports, Maxwell has confirmed opting out of the Pakistan tour due to his wedding. Reports further indicated that the cricketer will also miss the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.

Maxwell is a regular part of Australia’s white-ball teams. Australia will tour Pakistan after 24 years to play three Tests, as many ODIs and one-off T20I. The historic tour will take place from March 4 to April 5 across three venues, Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi.

As per reports, David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Pat Cummins, Marcus Stoinis, Josh Hazlewood, Matthew Wade and Daniel Sams will also miss the start of IPL 2022 due to national duty in Pakistan.
