Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan suffered COVID-19, informed Dr Faisal Sultan -the Special Assistant to the PM on National Health Services.

Taking to Twitter on Saturday afternoon, Sultan confirmed that PM Khan has tested COVID-19 positive and immediately isolated himself at home.

The news broke the internet by storm and Pakistanis started sending wishes to their premier.

It must be noted here that PM Khan took his first dose of COVID-19 vaccination just a couple of days ago.

The Ministry of National Health Services released a statement in this regard and said PM Khan received only the first dose of the vaccine. “PM Imran Khan was not fully vaccinated when he contracted the virus. He only got the 1st dose and merely 2 days ago which is too soon for ANY vaccine to become effective. Anti-bodies develop 2-3 weeks after 2nd dose of 2-dose COVID vaccines,” the Ministry wrote on Twitter.
