Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai (@MuftiPopalzai) June 3, 2021
In reply, Malala’s father disowned her statement about marriage as it was reported in media, saying “This is not true. Media and social media quoted her statement out of context.”
Ziauddin Yousafzai (@ZiauddinY) June 3, 2021
Bringing into your account, Malala, in her British Vogue cover interview, prefered having partnership over marriage. “I still don’t understand why people have to get married. If you want to have a person in your life, why do you have to sign marriage papers, why can’t it just be a partnership?” she was quoted saying in the interview.
Her statement put her on the knife of immense criticism and people thought she has adopted Western culture completely.
