Misbah-ul-Haq, Wasim Akram, Mohammad Hafeez, and Azhar Ali will be joining PCB’s chairman Ehsan Mani and CEO Wasim Khan in Islamabad to meet Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday.

In a 25-minutes meeting, PCB officials and cricketers will be highlighting the crisis caused by the closure of departmental cricket on the special directives of PM Khan last year. A report based on the problems faced by players and officials after losing their jobs will be presented to PCB’s Patron-in-Chief.

It is pertinent to mention here that a lot of players have been vocal for the resumption of departmental cricket during the last one year. Mohammad Hafeez recently spoke against the decision to shut down departmental cricket.

On the other hand, the PM Khan will be briefed over the recently concluded Pakistan vs England tour where Pakistan lost the Test series 1-0 and leveled the T20I series 1-1. Meanwhile, the future of Pakistan’s cricket will also be discussed in the meeting at Prime Minister House.
