Pakistani captain Babar Azam gathered immense praise on social media after he struck a Test century after two years, that too in a pressure match against Australia in Karachi.

Babar remained not out for 102 runs under pressure, putting Pakistan on a surprised comeback in the Test on fourth day while chasing 506 runs.

Fans on social media heaped praise on the right-handed batter’s performance.

Babar came out at the crease when his team was suffering at 21-2, having lost Imam-ul-Haq and experienced Azhar Ali earlier. He alongside young Abdullah Shafique rescued the hosts, fighting out for two sessions on the fourth day.
