Ali Zafar expressed disappointment over thousands of poor and innocent imprisoned women in Pakistan.

Speaking at ARY News on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the singer-cum-actor pledged to make efforts for the freedom of imprisoned women across the country.

“There are countless innocent & poor women in jail for years due to lack of legal representation,” he wrote, adding, “Today, on Women’s Day. I vouch to do my best, in my humble capacity, to get them the aid needed to fight for their freedom & justice but together we can do more.”

It must be noted here that 8 March is celebrated as International Women’s Day across the globe. On this day, women from different walks of life come at the forefront to highlight the importance of females in society and also demand equality and justice for them.
