Wajahat Rauf’s back once again to contribute to an already promising year of films. The teaser of his upcoming venture Chhalawa just released, and it looks like it has all that is needed for an entertaining film for the masses.
The teaser introduces us to the entire cast of the film, which includes Mehwish Hayat, Azfar Rehman, Asad Siddiqui, and Zara Noor Abbas, in quick glimpses which look quite picturesque as a whole. Despite not having more than a dialogue or two, the teaser manages to convey all that the film is going to have, which may range from drama, emotions, dance numbers, heartbreak, betrayal, and a lot more.
According to the director, the film’s plot is set in Punjab and revolves around romance and comedy. Majorly a family film, it will illuminate the relationship between a father-daughter and the bond shared by siblings.
Interestingly, it looks like Hayat will be featuring in another steamy dance number, which has already heightened everyone’s anticipation for the film. And as for her pairing with Rehman, we all know it is appreciated all around, especially after the two featured together in Enaaya, along with Siddiqui.
Moreover, the film also marks the film debuts of Siddiqui and Abbas together, who both look just as promising in the teaser as actors on the big screen. Abbas was supposed to make her film debut with Asim Raza’s Parey Hut Love, but it looks like Chhalawa’s release date will beat it.

The film is scheduled for an Eid-ul-Fitr release this year, and will be competing against The Legend of Maula Jatt and Wrong Number 2.
