A lit evening of glitz and pizzazz took place in Dubai this week, celebrating the annual Masala Awards. A number of various prominent figures from cinema and fashion came together to honour talent from Pakistan and India. Along with handing out awards, a fashion show was also included, which showcased some of the biggest names in the Asian entertainment industry.
Many Pakistani celebrities scored big, winning awards in multiple categories. Ayesha Omar, donned in a dreamy blue gown by Michael Cinco, stole hearts everywhere with her look. Keeping her tasteful streak alive, she won the award for the Most Stylish Star, which came off as no surprise. The diva is used to wowing the crowd with her elegant ensembles wherever she goes.

Speaking of winning big, Osman Khalid Butt and Amna Ilyas also took home an award for Agents of Social Change. The actor, looking spruce in a patchwork jacket and a black turtleneck, gave a heartfelt speech thanking all women in the industry who spoke up against harassment, and men who advocated the cause. Looking regal in all red, the model-turned-actress also dedicated her award to all the women in Pakistan.
Our resident heartthrob, Sheheryar Munawar, also prospered by winning the Most Versatile Actor award. The 7 Din Mohabbat In actor has been busy with a new film with Maya Ali, and is constantly flourishing in his journey as an actor and a producer.
Moreover, the talented Aamina Sheikh was awarded the Best Actress award for her performance in Cake. Although the actress could not attend the event, she still left a super sweet message for her fans, assuring them that there’s more to come.
The extravagant fashion show stole the spotlight, with Faraz Manan presenting his work, and a few energetic performances by Punjabi singers. The highlight of the event was Manan’s showstopper, who was none other than Bollywood diva, Kareena Kapoor. The actress enchanted the crowd with her mesmerizing walk, leaving everyone craving some more.
