Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan took Bollywood by storm with his debut Khoobsurat opposite Sonam Kapoor. The star soon outshined the likes of King and Dabbang Khan in Bollywood actors ratings and did not take much time to grab multiple offers. According to Indian media reports during that time, he was approached for several big projects including the ones with Ranveer Singh, Amitabh Bachchan, Karan Johar, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Unfortunately, political situation turned worse on both sides of the border and the rising Khan in Bollywood missed all those offers.
According to latest Indian media report, Pakistani heartthrob was also supposed to be part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati, now starring Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Reportedly, Padukone suggested her director to go for Khan after they walked on ramp for Indian fashion designer Manish Malhotra. Later, Kapoor was offered the role.

Earlier in 2016, we reported that Fawad Khan had been approached by Sanjay Leela Bhansali production to play Indian poet Sahir Ludhianvi in his biopic against Parineeti Chopra in Gustakhiyan. But later, it was revealed that Mahira Khan’s co-star in Raees, Shahrukh Khan has bagged the role. A separate report revealed that Saif Ali Khan replaced Pakistan’s Khan in another project.
The Khoobsurat actor was also supposed to be in Zoya Akhtar’s next with Ranveer Singh and Jennifer Winget. “Zoya Akhtar could not woo Hrithik Roshan for her next; she has found an alternative in the Pakistani hottie,” reported DNA India during that time. “She loved Fawad in Kapoor & Sons and decided to work with him right after watching the film,” it added.
Our Khan missed another chance to shine in front of bigger audience but we are not much upset about it because Padmavati is currently facing much controversies in India and the star cast of the film is taking protection from extremists. Jo Hota Hai, Achey K Liey Hota Hai 😀
