Sarmad Khoosat directorial new drama serial Akhri Station is set to go on-air from February 13th, 2018 on ARY Digital. The drama stars Sanam Saeed in lead role and highlights stories of seven women, who are traveling in train. “We have tried to push boundaries through this project,” told Khoosat.
“Akhri Station has seven episodes and each will highlight the story of a different woman,” shared Saeed. “These seven women meet in a train and share their stories, which highlight social events including drug abuse, prostitution, young marriage, rafugee, depression, and acid victims,” she added.
Talking about her character, Saeed told, “My character is fighting depression and I am the common link between these women because I am getting hyper on all their stories.”
Marya, the producer of AKhri Station also shared her views. “When you deal with subjects such as post prostitution and acid attacks, I feel there are very few people who are brave enough to tell those stories without making the less disturbing than they should be,” she told.
Aakhri Station is produced by Kashf Foundation, which earlier worked with Udaari on HUM TV.
