Indian director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has reportedly collaborated with Netflix to make a web-series on Lahore’s Heera Mandi.
According to Bollywood Hungama, the shoot for the web-series will start in the first quarter of this year and it will be lead by Bhansali’s former assistant Vibhu Puri.
“Sanjay is personally doing the casting. Though officially, his former assistant Vibhu Puri is going to direct Heera Mandi, SLB’s stamp will be evident in every frame,” the publication reported.
Meanwhile, the report also disclosed that the web-film will be featuring some big names from Bollywood such as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, and Madhuri Dixit-Nene.
A web-series named Heera Mandi is said to highlight the hidden culture of the red light area in Lahore.
