Aspiring Pakistani rapper Eva B suggested mainstream media to not make headlines out of her Hijaabi appearance.
In her conversation with AFP, the young rapper said hijaab (veil) is something normal in her society.
“The media has focused on my hijab rather than me. They do it for hype. It’s normal in my society. Don’t let it be breaking news,” she told the news agency.
Eva feels proud of her hijaab and vows to continue doing it throughout.
“These days I wear more stylish clothes for the music videos so I stand out. But even then I always wear my hijab,” she shared.
“I feel happy to inspire women out there,” she concluded.
