Mahira Khan has realized the huge difference between working in a drama and film after returning to Tv with Hum Tv’s ‘Hum Kahan Kay Sachay Thay‘ after five years.

Speaking to Something Haute, Mahira said drama actors put in a lot of hard work as they shoot 8-9 scenes per day which is way more than in a film.

“Earlier, whenever someone asks me about the difference between Tv and film, I used to say there is no difference as you go, you act and you come back in both scenarios,” she said.

“But, as I have returned to Tv after doing films, I have way more respect for TV actors now. Even though I am a TV actor myself,

“With films, you have two scenes in a day and you give those scenes your 100%. For dramas, you are shooting 8 to 9 scenes and that reminds you how hard people are working and how hard you are supposed to work and still bring out the best,” she maintained.

While expressing her feelings on returning to tv, Mahira said it felt like returning back to roots. “It feels surreal. It’s been a humbling experience. It feels like coming back at roots and it’s like home. And after this, I think actors should not only stick to films,” said Mahira who is playing Mehreen’s character in Hum Kahan Kay Sachay Thay.

Drama serial Hum Kahan Kay Sachay Thay is based on Umera Ahmed’s novel directed by Farooq Rind. Mahira, Kubra Khan, and Usman Mukhtar came together in a tv serial for the very first time.
