Oscar-nominee and Emmy Award winner, Riz Ahmed believes that it’s high time to change the perception regarding Muslim characters in world cinema.
While sharing his thoughts on USC Annenberg’s study about Muslim representation in media, Riz said it’s high time to change the perception regarding Muslims in movies.
“I’m fed up of seeing Muslim characters on-screen either negative or nonexistent. The industry must change. Our new study proves what many of us always felt about Muslims in Films. The cost is measured in hate & lost lives,” he said in a video shared on Twitter.
