Quetta Gladiators’ all-rounder Andre Russell has been given rest in today’s Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 6 match against Peshawar Zalmi, the franchise informed.
Russell was hit on jaws by Musa Khan during yesterday’s match. He struck Musa for back-to-back sixes followed by a deadly bouncer by the youngster which hit his jaws and he was grounded for a while.
Later on, he was taken for treatment on a stretcher which looked like the blow was severe. Naseem Shah replaced him as a concussion replacement last night.
It is pertinent to mention here that Gladiators are already suffering in the PSL 6 being at the last spot on the points table with only a win six matches. Nest four matches are a do-or-die situation of PSL 2019 champions.
