Months after legal repercussions taken by Feroze Khan against his fellow artists, the actor has now expressed regret for inadvertently revealing private information about his colleagues in January while serving them with defamation notices via social media. Despite promptly removing the post once he recognized his error, the actor acknowledged the inconvenience he caused and apologized for it, noting that he only recently became aware of the impact of his actions.

This weekend, Feroze took to Instagram to share a post with a lengthy apology note. “On Jan 17, 2023, a legal notice of defamation (drafted by my previous legal team) was posted from my Instagram. Somehow I failed to notice that the said notice contained the personal details of the recipients including their phone numbers. As soon as I realised, I deleted the post immediately within minutes,” he wrote.

“However, it has now come to my knowledge that as a result of the aforesaid notice, the privacy of my fellow colleagues was violated. As an actor, I know the importance of privacy and value it the most. I never intended for anyone’s peace to be disturbed. If any of my colleagues had to go through any inconvenience, I am deeply sorry for that,” he added.

Feroze’s deleted post detailed the names and personal information, such as phone numbers and addresses, of multiple celebrities, namely Farhan Saeed, Yasir Hussain, Sarwat Gilani, Aiman Khan, Minal Khan, Mira Sethi, Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, Asim Azhar, Muneeb Butt and Osman Khalid Butt.
After Feroze’s apology, Muneeb Butt who had previously issued a legal notice to Feroze over the unauthorized disclosure of private information concerning his wife and sister-in-law, Aiman and Minal Khan, has now declared his decision to withdraw all charges against the actor. Muneeb asserted that the breach of privacy was a mere “error,” and that Feroze never had any intention of inflicting pain or psychological anguish on his fellow artists.
Muneeb took to Instagram to share his decision to drop charges. “I, Muneeb Butt, and family hereby state that to give us pain and mental distress wasn’t Feroze Khan’s intention. It was a mistake and I announce to drop all the charges,” he wrote in his statement.
“Honourable judiciary is still hearing Feroze Khan and Syeda Alizay’s case and we have full faith in our judicial system. The verdict that the court will give, we will stand by that. It’s their private matter and everyone should respect their privacy and restrain from commenting,” he added.

Muneeb also shared another post with a picture of himself with Feroze, citing how they’ve sought the guidance of elders to resolve the issue. “Whatever happened between my family and Feroze Khan, we have decided to end it here with the guidance of our elders. In future, we will maintain a relationship of mutual respect and care like a family,” read the caption.
