Meera jee was last seen on the big screen in Saqib Malik’s Baaji alongside Amna Ilyas, and is currently busy in the US raising funds for flood relief and other humanitarian work. In fact, it has recently come to public knowledge that the veteran actress is also working on a comeback with a new film, as reported by Express PK.
Named Number 36, the film is written by Dr. Fatima Hassan and is dramatised by Arif Afzal, and will revolve around sexual harassment faced by women at the hands of men. The lead roles will be played by Meera jee and MK Shirazi. She talked about the project and shared how happy she was to be a part of it.

“Number 36 is a thought-provoking film that showcases the trauma of how women are sexually harassed by men I am happy to essay the role of protagonist in a short made in the US and I am thankful to Arif Afzal who offered me the lead role for Number 36. I hope viewers will like this effort,” she said.
More details of the film are still under wraps, but knowing Meera jee, she will be bringing her 100% to the project. Her performance in Baaji was widely praised, and also got her a LUX Style Award nomination for Best Actress.
