Humayun Saeed thinks that he or any producer in Pakistan can make a historic show like Turkish drama serial ‘Drilis: Ertugrul’ but for that government should come up with massive financial support.
Speaking to Samaa Tv, Humayun said the Turkish government’s support was key factor behind Drilis: Ertugrul’s success. “I could produce it but the problem is that shows [like Erturgrul] require massive financial investments from government,” said Humayun.
“Ertugrul was made with the financial support of the Turkish government. In Pakistan, I or any capable producer can make such a drama serial but for that, our government needs to support us financially,” he maintained.

Mere Pas Tum Ho actor highlighted that last time Pakistan produced a historical drama 30 or 40 years ago. The actor also referred to Pakistani dramas like Tipu Sultan, Babar and Akhri Chattan that came up years ago and highlighted the conquests of the Muslim rulers.
It must be noted here that Drilis:Ertugrul, 500-episodes long Turkish drama serial, gained immense popularity in Pakistan after being aired at Pakistan Television (PTV) on special directives of the Prime Minister Imran Khan.
