Bilal Abbas Khan said Indian films have played an important role in his upbringing as an actor in Lollywood.
Speaking to Pinkvilla, Bilal said he grew up watching the Indian cinema and he really liked the way films were made there.
“I have seen a lot of Indian movies including the South Indian ones. They are the reason that I am an actor today,” he was quoted saying.
The young actor also wished to work with an Indian director, Vishal Bhardwaj. “I wish to be directed by Vishal Bhardwaj,” he said, adding, “I have seen all his films like Omkara, Kaminey, Haider and Maqbool. His understanding of cinema is amazing and I aspire to be part of films that comprise performance-driven characters and a powerful storyline. He is my all-time favourite.”
It must be noted here that Bilal has had featured in several hit Pakistani dramas such as Balaa, Cheekh, O Rnagreza, and Pyar Ke Sadqay. His first-ever web-series ‘Ek Jhooti Love Story’ opposite Madiha Imam is currently aired at Zee5’s digital platform ‘Zindagi’.
