Aspiring music producer Abdullah Siddiqui felt grateful for being a part of Pakistani Cannes selection ‘Joyland’.
Abdullah, who recently worked as an associate producer of Coke Studio 14, produced the music of Saim Sadiq’s feature film Joyland which will be screened at 75th anniversary of Cannes Film Festival this year.
Taking to Instagram, Abdullah said he is overwhelmed to have made the music for a film that will be at Cannes this year.
“I’ve always wanted to do the music for a film but I never thought I’d be lucky enough to get to do the music for what is (a) I think the best Pakistani film ever and (b) the first Pakistani film ever to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival,” he wrote.
“Saim Sadiq you are a once-in-a-generation genius and I cannot thank you enough for letting me be a part of your masterpiece,” Abdullah praised.
It must be noted here that Abdullah has gained immense popularity by working in top-notch music projects. His work in Pakistan’s biggest music show Coke Studio was highly appreciated at every level.
