If one man has introduced the most of Pakistani talent in Bollywood, he is none other than Mahesh Bhatt. This week, the Indian filmmaker unveiled the first look of his upcoming film titled Dusham and told that it is his attempt to improve sentiments between the two neighbours, Pakistan and India. The film, directed by Shagufta Rafique, stars Jashan Singh, Kartar Cheema and Sakshi Gulati.

“Indo-Pak relationship is a topic which ignites pain in the hearts of people in both the countries. Everyone wishes to see India, Pakistan as friendly neighbours but a deep wound is still fresh. It is bleeding till date and we haven’t been able to soothe it. This movie is our attempt to improve sentiments between the two countries,” Express Tribune story quoted Bhatt.
“The film will take the audience through a variety of emotions and a high voltage action,” it added.
“This subject was close to my heart and I have written it with all my heart to evoke a sense of belonging for both the countries which are divided by only a man-made border,” the report quoted Rafique, the director of the movie.

Here in Pakistan, Lollywood veteran Shaan Shahid, who has repeatedly denied working in India, is making his directorial return with Arth 2, which is a remake of Bollywood’s 1982 classic Arth by Mahesh Bhatt starring Shabana Azmi, Kulbushan Kharbanda, and Smita Patil in leading roles. The film stars Humaima Malik, Mohib Mirza, and Shaan Shahid himself in leading roles.
