Mahira Khan may have missed the promotion of her debut Bollywood movie Raees in India but she has defeated the likes of Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone and Yami Gautam to lead the charts of top performing actresses during the first quarter of 2017.
Mahira Khan made her Bollywood debut with none other than Shahrukh Khan but because of some unfortunate incidences, she couldn’t attend the promotions of the movie. But still, her movie did exceptionally well on box office worldwide, except her own country where the censor board banned the film. According to a report, Raees box office collection was Rs 137.51 crore.
Other actresses in the race were Alia Bhatt for Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Deepika Padukone for xXx – Return of Xander Cage, Huma Qureshi for Jolly LLB 2, and Yami Gautam for Kaabil. Mahira Khan’s Raees defeated all of them on box office.
