This week, Sajal Aly and Mira Sethi surprised their fans with a super sweet picture that was shared on their Instagram accounts, with the two hugging each other and smiling as wide as one can. The picture wasn’t taken at a gathering or a festivity but in fact, it came from the sets of their upcoming drama serial, titled Kuch Ankahi.
According to Sethi, the plot revolves around three sisters and the different trajectories of their lives, covering their dreams, obstacles, and their journeys in an in-depth manner. “It’s a story about their empowerment in the real sense of the word: How do they eventually come to know themselves? How do we, as people, come to know ourselves?” Sethi shared with Dawn Images.
As for the tone of the show, Sethi reassured that it won’t be our run-of-the-mill dramas with nothing to offer but sad, despair-filled plotlines. “Think Haseena Moin-meets-Anwar Maqsood-meets-Muhammad Ahmed. Expect lots of lighthearted barbs and social commentary on family life and culture,” shared Sethi.
Taking to Instagram, Sethi shared the post with a sweet caption. “Right before the dance sequence. We stuffed our faces with Shahi supari [betelnut] and danced under the stars — err, I mean, under the glare of our choreographer’s stricttt gaze,” the caption read. Check it out.

Sajal also shared a similar picture with an equally sweet caption for Mira. “Uffff My Mira ♥️
You’re my girl crush! You are shinning in this project & you’ve made me cry with your performance!” she wrote in the caption.
Kuch Ankahi also stars Ali Safina, Vaneeza Ahmed, Qudsia Ali, Bilal Abbas, Sheheryar Munawar, Irsaa Ghazal, Asma Abbas, and many more brought together by Nadeem Baig.
