The promotions of the upcoming film Yaara Vey are going on in full swing, but not everyone is pleased about it. Veteran actress Marina Khan, who is part of the cast, recently called out the producers of the film on her social media for not paying the full amount that was promised to her.

“To all my Instagram followers. I am VERY UPSET that this movie is being released as I was NOT paid by the producers the full amount they promised me,” she wrote in an Instagram post.

“Also they kept delaying the contract signing. So technically, if I wanted, I could probably put a stay order on the release but I am lazy and frankly, don’t give a rat’s ass anymore. To the producers of this film, all I can say is SHAME on you,” she added.

Khan received a lot of support from her fans following this statement. And soon after, the makers of the film addressed her concerns and issued a statement on their social media. Beeline Productions clarified how the film was produced in association with another production house called Elite Films, and they were responsible for all finance related operations.

They also added how Elite Films halted the production of the film without any prior notice, and that Beeline had already paid the production house funds for the artists, cast and crew of the film. “It recently came to our notice that the payments of certain artists were pending. Beeline Productions is now in legal proceedings with Elite Films, who signed the contracts of the artists,” they wrote.

The statement also addressed Khan’s claims, and requested the actress some time to settle these legal proceedings. “We do understand and acknowledge the concerns of Marina Khan, a much-respected member of the entertainment fraternity and a part of our film’s family. With earnest regards, we seek to clarify that as the sole sponsors of Yaara Vey and honorable professionals, we believe in transparency and will not stand by idly to misconducts and malpractices in our or our venture’s name,” they said.

“However, being well aware that legal actions take time to resolve, we, in the interim, have reached out to Marina Khan a, who we consider to be very dear to our film family, with the intention to fulfill the obligated pending compensation for her acting duties, irrespective of the process and conclusion of the legal action,” they added.
