Following the Indo-Pak political tensions at the moment, Aisam-ul-Haq finds it unbelievable to fulfill his wish to partner with Sania Mirza in mixed doubles.
Speaking to reporters via video conference, Aisam revealed that he has already offered Sania, a good friend of him, to play mixed doubles with him but she turned it down to avoid controversies.
“I always wished to get partnered with Sania at least once. I have offered her for a mixed doubles but she doesn’t want to be tied with controversies in such a situation,” he said.
“I have good relations with Sania and Shoaib Bhai. She is not only a good player but a great human being too. She has achieved a lot for her country,” he added.
It must be noted here that Aisam is currently ranked 50th in ATP Rankings. He is the top national player who has represented Pakistan in several international tournaments.
